High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight

High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight Picture

1. What's High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight?
High-density tungsten alloy counterweight is high-specific-gravity counterweight component made using tungsten as the matrix and nickel, iron, or copper as binder phases. CTIA's high-density tungsten alloy counterweight can provide greater mass within limited installation space for center-of-gravity adjustment, mass compensation, dynamic balancing, and vibration suppression, and is widely used in automotive, aerospace, medical equipment, precision instruments, and industrial equipment.

2. Features of CTIA's High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight
(1) High Density and Small Volume: Density is typically 16.5–18.8 g/cm³. Under the same mass the volume is significantly smaller than that of steel and lead, enabling higher mass configuration within limited space and suiting space-constrained equipment structures.
(2) Precise Balance and Vibration Reduction: It concentrates mass. By adjusting installation position and mass distribution, center-of-gravity regulation, rotational balance and inertia control can be achieved, effectively reducing vibration during equipment operation.
(3) High Strength and Fatigue Resistance: Tensile strength is typically 700–1200 MPa, combined with good toughness and fatigue resistance, enabling it to withstand high-speed rotation, impact loads and long-term operating environments.
(4) Stable and Highly Adaptable: Features corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, non-toxicity and non-radioactivity, meeting long-term stability requirements in medical equipment, aerospace, precision instruments and industrial equipment.
(5) Optional Magnetism and Flexible Application: W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu material systems can be selected according to application needs to meet different equipment requirements for magnetic properties.

3. Types of CTIA's High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight
(1) By Structural Form: Tungsten alloy block counterweight (cube), tungsten alloy rod counterweight, tungsten alloy ball counterweight (balancing ball), tungsten alloy plate counterweight (disc), tungsten alloy ring counterweight, tungsten alloy screw counterweight, and customized irregular parts.
(2) By Material System:
① W-Ni-Fe tungsten alloy counterweight: Offers higher strength and good comprehensive mechanical properties, suitable for automotive, mechanical equipment and aerospace fields.
② W-Ni-Cu tungsten alloy counterweight: Features low-magnetic or non-magnetic properties, suitable for medical equipment, precision instruments and electronic devices.

4. Applications of CTIA's High-Density Tungsten Alloy Counterweight
(1) Aerospace: Applied in aircraft, satellites, drones and rockets for attitude adjustment and inertia control, meeting precise mass configuration needs under space-constrained conditions.
(2) Transportation: Used in automotive, racing and marine equipment for mass optimization and dynamic balance to improve operational stability.
(3) Industrial Automation and Precision Equipment: Employed in machine tools, robots, optical equipment and precision instruments to reduce vibration through high-density counterweighting and improve operating precision.
(4) Medical Equipment: Utilized in CT, MRI and radiotherapy equipment to achieve motion balance while meeting compact structural design requirements.
(5) Precision Electronics and Consumer Devices: Applied in mobile phones and watches for mass adjustment and stable control within tiny spaces.
(6) Oil Drilling and Logging Equipment: Used in drilling weighted rods and inclinometers to provide high-quality counterweight within limited space and enhance equipment operational stability.
(7) Sports Equipment: Integrated into golf clubs, dart shafts, fishing gear, tennis rackets, badminton rackets and fitness equipment to optimize center-of-gravity configuration and improve performance.
