Tungsten Alloy Propeller Counterweight

Tungsten Alloy Propeller Counterweight Picture

1. What's Tungsten Alloy Propeller Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy propeller counterweight is high-density balancing component with high strength, dimensional stability, corrosion resistance, and good machining adaptability. Propeller blade mass differences and center-of-gravity deviations can cause uneven centrifugal forces during high-speed rotation, resulting in rotational imbalance and periodic vibration. CTIA's tungsten alloy propeller counterweight compensates for mass differences and adjusts mass distribution to achieve static balancing, dynamic balancing, and center-of-gravity control. It is installed on propeller blades, blade roots, hubs, and other suitable locations.

2. Features of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Propeller Counterweight
(1) High Density, Compact Size: Density is approximately 16.5–18.8 g/cm³, requiring less space for the same counterweight mass and making it suitable for propeller locations with limited installation space.
(2) High Strength, Stable Rotation: High tensile strength and hardness enable the counterweight to withstand centrifugal forces and continuous vibration during high-speed rotation, reducing the risk of loosening and deformation.
(3) Thermal Stability, Stable Position: A low coefficient of thermal expansion results in limited dimensional changes with temperature variations, helping maintain counterweight position and propeller balance.
(4) Corrosion Resistance, Environment Adaptability: Good stability in humid, hot, and salt-spray environments makes it suitable for propeller systems used in aircraft, UAVs, vessels, and underwater propulsion systems.
(5) Magnetic Properties, Material Options: W-Ni-Fe is weakly ferromagnetic, while W-Ni-Cu is non-magnetic, making W-Ni-Cu suitable for propeller systems where low magnetic interference is required.
(6) Precision Machining, Accurate Weight: Turning, milling, grinding, and drilling enable the required dimensions and structures to be produced according to the counterweight location on the propeller, allowing the counterweight mass to be adjusted precisely.
(7) Flexible Structures, Easy Installation: Counterweights can be produced as blocks, rods, rings, curved components, and irregular parts, with holes, slots, chamfers, and other features to suit different propeller structures and installation spaces.

3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Propeller Counterweight
(1) Fixed-Wing Aircraft Propellers: Used for dynamic balancing to reduce periodic vibration transmitted from the engine and propeller system to the airframe.
(2) Turboprop Aircraft: Used for mass matching among multiple blades and rotational balancing to improve propeller operating stability.
(3) UAV Propellers: Used to adjust the mass distribution and rotational balance of blades and hubs in multirotor and fixed-wing UAVs, improving flight stability.
(4) Marine and Underwater Propulsion Systems: Used for propeller mass balancing to reduce rotational imbalance and vibration in the shaft system.
(5) Military and Special-Purpose Aviation: Used in propeller systems requiring high counterweight accuracy, compact structures, and precise rotational balancing.
(6) Small and Racing Propellers: Used for fine weight adjustment and rotational balancing of propellers in model aircraft, racing UAVs, and other small propeller systems.
(7) Propeller Testing and Calibration: Used for dynamic balancing, vibration, and mass-distribution testing to simulate different counterweight conditions.
(8) Magnetically Sensitive Platforms: Used with non-magnetic counterweights on rotating platforms carrying magnetometers, magnetic detectors, and other magnetically sensitive equipment.
