Tungsten Alloy Cube Counterweight

1. What's Tungsten Alloy Cube Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy cube counterweight is cubic mass balance component manufactured from high-specific-gravity tungsten alloy, which can be installed inside equipment by fixing, embedding or combining methods. CTIA's tungsten alloy cube counterweight uses tungsten (W) as the matrix with binder phases such as nickel (Ni), iron (Fe) or copper (Cu), and is produced through powder metallurgy liquid-phase sintering. It enables precise mass configuration within limited space and is mainly used for equipment center-of-gravity adjustment, mass compensation and balance control, suitable for compact counterweight applications in precision instruments, automation equipment, automotive components and aerospace.
2. Features of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Cube Counterweight
(1) High Density for Small-Volume Counterweighting: Density is typically 16.5–18.8 g/cm³. Compared with traditional counterweight materials such as steel and lead, it offers higher mass per unit volume, providing greater counterweight effect within limited space and reducing product volume.
(2) Regular Structure for Precise Installation and Positioning: The cubic structure features uniform dimensions, facilitating embedding, fixing and combination installation to meet precision assembly requirements.
(3) Concentrated Mass Distribution for Improved Balance Control: The cube structure allows precise adjustment of mass position to optimize equipment center of gravity, achieving mass compensation, balance control and vibration optimization.
(4) Good Mechanical Properties for Long-Term Operation: Offers high strength, wear resistance and fatigue resistance. Typical tensile strength reaches 700–1000 MPa, adapting to long-term mechanical loads and vibration environments.
(5) Multiple Material Systems for Different Operating Environments: Provides W-Ni-Fe and W-Ni-Cu material systems with optional magnetic or non-magnetic properties to meet different application needs.
(6) Flexible Machining Capability for Structural Customization: Supports processing of different sizes and structures. Standard cubes, perforated cubes, slotted cubes, chamfered cubes and complex irregular structures can be customized.
3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Cube Counterweight
(1) Precision Instruments: Applied as internal counterweight in optical instruments, measuring instruments, analytical instruments and experimental equipment.
(2) Automation Equipment: Used for counterweighting in precision motion mechanisms, actuators and small mechanical components.
(3) Robotic Equipment: Employed for balance counterweighting in robot joints, end effectors and small motion components.
(4) Automotive and Racing: Utilized in vehicle internal precision components requiring localized mass addition and racing tuning counterweights.
(5) Aerospace: Applied as internal counterweight components in drones, satellites and small aerospace mechanisms.
(6) Electronics and Micro Devices: Used in small electronic devices, micro-mechanical mechanisms and precision components requiring embedded mass adjustment.
(7) Models and Toys: Integrated into pinewood derby cars, model cars, aircraft models, boat models and other models or toys needing high-density small-volume counterweighting.
