1. What's Tungsten Alloy Engine Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy engine counterweight is mass-balancing component installed at designated locations on an engine to adjust mass distribution and maintain dynamic balance during operation. CTIA's tungsten alloy engine counterweight uses the high density and compact size of tungsten alloy to concentrate greater mass within limited space, reducing imbalance and vibration from rotational and reciprocating motion in automotive, racing, motorcycle, and other engines.

2. Why Do Engines Use Tungsten Alloy Counterweights?
(1) Reduce Space Occupation: Tungsten alloy has a density of approximately 16.5–18.8 g/cm³, allowing the same or greater counterweight mass to be achieved with less volume and leaving more space for other engine components.
(2) Improve Mass Configuration Efficiency: High-density tungsten alloy allows the required mass to be concentrated within a smaller area, making it easier to configure counterweight mass and mounting position according to engine structure.
(3) Reduce Operating Vibration: Proper counterweight configuration can improve mass distribution within the engine's moving system, reducing imbalance generated by rotational and reciprocating motion and lowering vibration during operation.
(4) Withstand High-Speed Operation: Tungsten alloy offers relatively high strength and hardness, with a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 4–6 × 10⁻⁶/°C, meeting the operating requirements of engine counterweights under high-speed and cyclic loading conditions.

3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Engine Counterweight
(1) Racing and Automotive Engines: Used in racing cars, high-performance vehicles, and supercars, particularly in high-speed designs with limited counterweight space.
(2) Motorcycle Engines: Used in high-speed motorcycle engines, particularly where compact crankshaft structures leave limited space for counterweights.
(3) Large Diesel Engines: Used in high-power and large diesel engines, meeting specific requirements for crankshaft mass distribution and dynamic balancing.
(4) Marine and Construction Equipment Engines: Used in marine diesel engines, construction machinery, and off-road power equipment, supporting long-term operating conditions.
