Tungsten Alloy Racing Counterweight

1. What's Tungsten Alloy Racing Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy racing counterweight is high-density balance weight used to adjust race car mass distribution, axle loads, and center-of-gravity position. CTIA's tungsten alloy racing counterweight adds mass at designated vehicle locations to redistribute overall vehicle mass, optimize front-to-rear weight distribution and left-to-right balance, and adjust dynamic response, meeting racing requirements for compact counterweighting and precise handling setup.
2. Features of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Racing Counterweight
(1) High Density for Compact Counterweighting: Tungsten alloy has a density of approximately 16.5–18.8 g/cm³, requiring less volume for the same counterweight mass and allowing greater mass to be positioned within limited installation space in race cars.
(2) Concentrated Mass for Flexible Placement: High material density allows the required counterweight mass to be concentrated within a small area, providing flexibility in positioning the counterweight according to race car setup requirements.
(3) Stable Properties for High-Speed Operation: W-Ni-Fe and W-Ni-Cu tungsten alloys offer good strength, hardness, and wear resistance, with a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 4–6 × 10⁻⁶/°C, allowing the counterweight to withstand vibration, impact, and temperature variations during high-speed operation.
3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Racing Counterweight
(1) Chassis: Adjusts front-to-rear axle loads and left-to-right loads to optimize overall vehicle mass distribution.
(2) Wheels and Hubs: Provides mass balancing for rotating components to reduce vibration caused by mass imbalance.
(3) Engines: Supports mass adjustment and dynamic balancing of crankshafts, flywheels, and other rotating components.
(4) Body Structures: Provides localized counterweighting according to overall vehicle mass distribution requirements to help control center-of-gravity position.
(5) Racing Setup and Testing: Counterweight mass and mounting position can be adjusted to configure and evaluate front-to-rear weight distribution, axle loads, and center-of-gravity position.
