Tungsten Alloy Fastener Counterweight

Tungsten Alloy Fastener Counterweight Picture

1. What's Tungsten Alloy Fastener Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy fastener counterweight combines the functions of mechanical fastening and mass adjustment in a single component, using tungsten-based heavy alloy as the counterweight material and a threaded or other fastening structure for installation. CTIA's tungsten alloy fastener counterweight adds localized mass while securing components, allowing adjustment of center of gravity, rotational balance, or overall weight distribution without requiring a separate counterweight. It is suitable for mechanical and precision equipment where fastening and counterweighting need to be integrated into a compact assembly.

2. Features of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Fastener Counterweight
(1) High Density Integrating Fastening and Counterweighting: Density is typically 16.5–18.75 g/cm³, more than twice that of steel. Greater mass can be obtained within smaller volume, suitable for space-constrained counterweight structures.
(2) High Strength and Vibration Stability: Tensile strength is typically 700–1000 MPa. After strengthening processes such as plastic deformation, some materials can be further improved, enabling them to withstand mechanical loads and continuous vibration.
(3) Low Thermal Expansion and Dimensional Stability: Tungsten alloy has a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 4.5–6.0 × 10⁻⁶/°C, with limited dimensional variation under temperature changes, helping maintain thread fit and positional stability of the counterweight.
(4) Corrosion Resistance and Strong Adaptability: Offers good corrosion resistance and can be used in complex working environments such as ships and oil logging.
(5) Combined Shielding Effect: Tungsten alloy has strong absorption capability for X-rays and γ-rays, enabling it to meet fastening, counterweighting and radiation protection needs simultaneously in medical equipment and nuclear industrial equipment.
(6) Lead-Free, Environmentally Friendly: Tungsten alloy contains no lead or radioactive materials and can replace traditional lead counterweights, suitable for equipment with material safety requirements.
(7) Precision Machining and Customization: Supports turning, milling, grinding and thread machining. Hexagon head, countersunk head, round head and irregular head structures can be processed to meet different installation and counterweighting requirements.

3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Fastener Counterweight
(1) Automotive and Racing: Applied in rim dynamic balancing, engine crankshaft and suspension system counterweighting to reduce vibration during high-speed operation.
(2) Sports Equipment: Applied in golf club heads. Center of gravity and handling feel are improved by adjusting counterweight position.
(3) Consumer Electronics and Esports Devices: Applied in gaming mice, gaming devices and miniature motion mechanisms to achieve center-of-gravity fine adjustment within compact space.
(4) Watches: Applied in mechanical watch balance wheel counterweighting. Timing accuracy is assisted by changing balance wheel inertia.
(5) Aerospace: Applied in aircraft rotors, propellers and inertial navigation systems to optimize mass distribution and operational balance.
(6) Semiconductor Manufacturing: Applied in wafer cutting, packaging equipment and high-speed spindle counterweighting to reduce unbalanced vibration of rotating components.
(7) Drones and Robotics: Applied in aerial photography gimbals, drone structures and robot joints to improve center-of-gravity configuration and motion stability.
(8) Models and Toys: Applied in aircraft models, boat models and competition models. Center of gravity and motion attitude are adjusted by adding counterweight.
(9) Medical and Nuclear Industry: Applied for counterweighting and fastening of radiotherapy equipment, X-ray equipment and protective containers, combining structural fixation with mass configuration.
(10) Military: Applied in navigation equipment gyro rotors, counterweight screws and adjustment structures to optimize component mass distribution and motion balance.
