Tungsten Alloy Block Counterweight

1. What's Tungsten Alloy Block Counterweight?
Tungsten alloy block counterweight, also known as tungsten alloy balancing block, is a block-shaped mass balance component made primarily of tungsten with binder phases such as nickel (Ni), iron (Fe) or copper (Cu), produced through powder metallurgy liquid-phase sintering. Compared with traditional steel or lead counterweight blocks, CTIA's tungsten alloy block counterweight features smaller volume, higher mass per unit volume and better structural stability. It is mainly used for equipment center-of-gravity adjustment, mass compensation, rotational balance and vibration control, and is suitable for aerospace, precision instruments, automotive, marine and high-end equipment applications that require high space utilization, mass distribution and operational stability.
2. Features of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Block Counterweight
(1) High Density and Small Volume: Density is typically 16.5–18.8 g/cm³, providing greater counterweight mass within limited installation space, reducing counterweight volume and enabling compact equipment structural design.
(2) Concentrated Mass and Stable Balance: The block structure facilitates fixed installation and position adjustment. By rationally designing mass distribution, equipment center of gravity is optimized to achieve mass compensation, rotational balance and vibration control, improving operational stability.
(3) High Strength and Reliable Use: Offers high strength, good wear resistance and fatigue resistance, capable of withstanding mechanical loads, impact and vibration environments during long-term operation to meet long-term use requirements.
(4) Flexible Structure and Easy Machining: Supports drilling, slotting, threading, chamfering and complex irregular structure processing. Dimensions and structure can be customized according to equipment installation methods, space constraints and weight requirements.
(5) Optional Materials to Meet Different Needs: Provides W-Ni-Fe and W-Ni-Cu material systems. Suitable grades can be selected according to application requirements for strength, magnetic properties and environmental adaptability. W-Ni-Fe is magnetic while W-Ni-Cu is non-magnetic.
3. Applications of CTIA's Tungsten Alloy Block Counterweight
(1) Aerospace: Applied in aircraft control surfaces, helicopter rotors, satellites and space equipment for mass balance, center-of-gravity adjustment and attitude control.
(2) Automotive and Transportation: Used in automotive engines, racing cars and transportation equipment for dynamic balance, mass optimization and vibration control.
(3) Industrial Automation and Precision Equipment: Employed in machine tools, robots, centrifuges and precision instruments to improve mass distribution through precise counterweighting, reduce vibration and enhance operational stability.
(4) Medical Equipment: Utilized in CT (Computed Tomography), MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and radiotherapy equipment for motion component balance and structural counterweighting.
(5) Ships and Marine Equipment: Applied in ships, marine equipment and special equipment for mass compensation, center-of-gravity adjustment and stability control.
(6) High-End Equipment and Testing Devices: Used in test equipment, measuring instruments and other high-precision equipment for balance adjustment and vibration control.
